In recent news it has been reported that there are some strange circle dunes spotted on Mars. It was discovered on photos as part of the research program investigating how the frost melts on the planet’s surface in it’s late winter season.

The planet is covered in a variety of dunes of different shapes and sizes. However, it is very unusual to find these near-perfect circular dunes. They are also slightly asymmetrical which indicates their steepest side is facing towards the south. The pictures were captured on the 22nd November 2022 by the High Resolution Imaging Experiment by The University of Arizona! The dunes were discovered when observing how the frost recedes off the planet’s surface towards the end of it’s winter season.
The program has 60 sites under observation since 2006; the movement, size and shapes. The sand dunes provide a lot of information on the weather conditions of the planet surface. The spacecraft orbiting the planet is still conducting further observations, even about it’s glacier formations. The ice seems to be on a constant move at a very slow pace. The slopes of the planet are believed to have been rich in ice but the source is still a mystery to scientists.
In conclusion this just shows we are constantly learning more about the planets in our solar system and the universe all the time. The space programs set in place for observations make new discoveries all the time. Including these recently discovered strange circle dunes on Mars.
