First Untethered Spacewalk Print | 1984

7 February 1984. Astronaut Bruce McCandless drifts alone above the Earth, attached to nothing, flying the Manned Maneuvering Unit, a hand-controlled jet pack. It was the first time anyone had left a spacecraft without a safety line. His crewmates photographed him from the Space Shuttle Challenger. Image digitally remastered and optimised for print. The highest fine art Giclée printing, on archival satin 285gsm premium paper. Image credit: NASA.
